Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System seeks a non-licensed Patient Care Technician to provide flexible nursing support and transport duties across units. You will assist with cleaning and stocking patient rooms, and deliver direct patient care under the supervision of the shift primary nurse.

Care for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics within defined practice scopes. Responsibilities include recording vital signs, assisting with ADLs, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• CCHT certification for dialysis unit.
• No prior experience required; CNA or RN student may enroll in PCT Academy if not yet certified.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and report basic patient data and vital signs.
• Assist with patient mobility, ADLs, and comfort per protocol.
• Perform unit transport duties and stock patient rooms.
• Maintain infection control and hand hygiene; use PPE.
• Assist with equipment cleaning and restocking; support nursing staff.
