Job summary

Avera Hand County Memorial Hospital is seeking a PRN Certified Nurse Aide to provide routine patient care under nurse or physician direction. The role includes assisting with daily activities, coordinating with departments, answering calls, and supporting a compassionate care environment.

You must be at least 16, have a high school diploma or GED, and CNA certification. The pay range is $18.00–$23.50 per hour, with benefits as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, direct patient care: ambulating, bathing, feeding, and assisting with care needs.
• Greets visitors, answers inquiries, and assists with gifts, mail, and errands.
• Ambulates patients and measures inputs/outputs, may collect specimens.
• Answers calls, operates paging, and assists during emergencies.
• Prepares requisitions and coordinates outpatient diagnostics and appointments.
• Requests supplies, equipment maintenance, and related services.
• Requests Chaplain/social services/pastoral care as directed.
• Performs admissions, discharges, chart prep, transfers, and related clerical tasks.
• Manages interdepartmental and patient mail; keeps rooms orderly and clean.
