Job summary

Avera Gregory Hospital seeks a PRN Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to provide routine patient care under nurse or physician direction, ensuring comfort, safety and quality care across day, evening, weekend and holiday shifts.

You will assist with ambulation, bathing, meal distribution, monitors, and basic clerical tasks, while communicating effectively with patients and the care team. High school diploma or GED and CNA license required; 16+ age; training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CNA certification/licensure required.
• Must be able to work day/evening/weekend/holiday shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe direct patient care: ambulating, bathing, positioning, and meal service.
• Responds promptly to call lights and attends to patient needs.
• Assists with mobility, intake/output, and basic specimen collection.
• Answers phones, operates paging system, and supports station during emergencies.
• Coordinates outpatient appointments and charts with department staff.
• Maintains patient rooms and handles routine cleaning tasks.
