Job summary

Avera McKennan in the United States is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to provide routine patient care and support under the direction of the nurse or physician. Duties include ambulating, bathing, feeding, monitoring inputs/outputs, and maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) licensure preferred or in process.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe direct patient care: ambulating, bathing, positioning, feeding and meals.
• Responds to patient call lights and attends to needs promptly.
• Greets visitors, answers inquiries, and assists with messages and deliveries.
• Assists with transfers, measures inputs/outputs, and transports patients as needed.
• Answers phones, operates paging system, and supports department tasks.
• Prepares requisitions and coordinates appointments with other departments.
• Maintains patient rooms and ensures supplies and equipment are available.
