Job summary

System Support seeks a Patient Care Tech at Miami Valley Hospital's Med Surg unit to assist nurses and doctors in daily patient care. The role includes checking vitals, helping patients with daily activities, and supporting hygiene and mobility during 7PM–7:30AM shifts.

No prior experience required, but completion of STNA/CNA training, or current nursing studies, and BLS CPR certification are preferred. Orientation will cover safety and patient care procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS CPR certification required or to be obtained during orientation.
• STNA/CNA or PCT training preferred; nursing school students with clinical rotation considered.
• No prior experience required, but hospital experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Check vitals: temperature, heartbeat, breathing.
• Assist patients with movement, dressing, and meals.
• Collect samples like urine and report changes to a nurse.
• Assist with mobility, hygiene, weighing patients, and general care.
• Support with hospital paperwork and unit clerical tasks as assigned.
