Job summary

Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, GA seeks a Patient Care Tech I for Labor & Delivery. Heavy lifting and confidentiality are required. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, responding to calls, and helping with admissions, transfers and discharges

Responsibilities

• Observe and report patient's status and needs.
• Answer call lights and attend to/reports patient needs.
• Obtain weights, vital signs and report results.
• Perform glucometer testing and report results.
• Obtain specimens and transport to and sends through designated tube.
• Update patient Intake/Output including oral intake only, measured urine output, and measured urinary catheter output after emptying.
• Assist patient with ADLs including cleansing of perineal area and catheter.
• Assist patient with feeding/meals.
• Assist patients with elimination needs.
• Transfers, moves and repositions patients.
• Transports patients.
• Makes occupied/unoccupied beds.
• Assists with admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Assists with post mortem care including transport to the morgue.
• Sets up simple traction.
• Performs 1-1 observation as assigned.
