Responsibilities

• Read and interpret FHR tracing and provide appropriate interventions.
• Provide triage care per facility policy.
• Administers medications under supervision of doctors and keep records of symptoms and progress.
• May supervise licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and Patient Care Techs.
• Adheres to guidelines and patient/staff ratios.
• Prepare patients for deliveries (vaginal or cesarean section).
• Communicate with charge nurse regarding all concerns by following chain of command.
