Job summary

White Oak Medical Center in Maryland is seeking an experienced Patient Care Technician for the Observation Unit. The role supports RNs with vital signs, ADLs, and daily care, while adhering to established care plans.

Requirements include a Maryland CNA license and BLS, with at least one year of hospital experience preferred. Full-time, day shifts with alternating weekends/holidays, 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Maryland CNA license is required.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• One year of hospital experience preferred with strong computer skills.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
• Ability to read, write and speak English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs and activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Follow the care plan established by the RN.
• Receive report from the RN and document appropriately.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Participate in education programs and team meetings.
