Beth Israel Lahey Health’s Farr 3 unit at BIDMC is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join a 30-bed inpatient medical-surgical team delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.

The PCT supports nursing care by accurately measuring and documenting vital signs and I/O, collaborating on care plans, promoting safety initiatives, and enhancing the patient and family experience with attentive communication and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.

Responsabilités

• Collaborates with a registered nurse on developing a patient's care plan.
• Develops and maintains competencies as delegated by a registered nurse.
• Maintains the safety of patients who have been identified at risk for preventable injury by the implementation of nursing safety interventions or the use of protective devices/equipment under the supervision of the registered nurse.
• Reports all patient activity to the registered nurse in a timely manner.
