Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide direct and indirect patient care under licensed clinical supervision. You will collaborate with the interprofessional team, assist with supplies, participate in patient rounds, and support telehealth encounters while promoting a safe, respectful care environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and familiarity with medical terminology, patient care needs, and diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with and supports the interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision of licensed clinical team members.
• Promotes a safe patient care environment.
• Assists in maintaining supplies and equipment for efficient unit operations.
• Conducts patient rounds and responds to patient needs and calls promptly.
• May serve as a virtual safety associate as needed.
• May facilitate clinical exams via telehealth with distant providers.
