Job summary

Mass General Brigham Newton-Wellesley Hospital seeks a Nursing Assistant to support an interdisciplinary care team in a busy on-site setting. Under RN supervision, you will assist with essential clinical tasks to promote safe, compassionate patient care and collaborate with physicians and nurses to ensure smooth patient flow.

Preferred candidates have a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and a Nursing Assistant certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• BLS Certification preferred.
• Healthcare experience 1-2 years required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care-related duties and clinical functions (vital signs, EKGs, bathing, transfers, feeding).
• Ensure patient rooms are stocked, equipped, and cleaned as needed.
• Perform specimen collection and document information.
• Retrieve, set up, and clean equipment; report malfunctions.
• Document patient information (height, weight, intake/output, glucose).
• Assist patients with food tray setup and eating as needed.
• Communicate with nursing staff about patient care and condition.
