Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for a full-time role in Springfield, Missouri. Under supervision, you will assist with individualized patient care, perform clinical and non-clinical tasks, and work closely with a cooperative care team to support patient wellness.

Requires a high school diploma or G.E.D; BLS within one month; complete PCA competencies within 3 months; lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods are expected. CNA preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, G.E.D, CNA/CPTC or enrolled in a healthcare program; Mercy experience preferred.
• Experience: None required.
• BLS certification within one month of hire; complete PCA competencies within 3 months.
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing/walking long shifts, and bending/kneeling.
• Preferred Certification: CNA.
