Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Handle with Care preferred.
• Ability to follow nurse instructions in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Observe patient and maintain a safe environment with continuous, unobstructed view.
• Accompany patient for tests, procedures, and holding areas.
• Remain within arm's reach until relieved by RN; assist with ambulation and feeding as directed.
• Assist with obtaining fluids, meals, and personal care while protecting privacy and dignity.
• Engage the patient in reading, games, or conversation as appropriate.
