Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• State Tested Nursing Aide Training or Acute Medical Surgical Training or hospital-specific training required.
• CPR training per AHA; basic patient care skills required.
• If prerequisites are not met, UC Health competency training for PCA and orientation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical patient care as delegated by licensed personnel.
• Take and report vital signs, assist with activities of daily living (ADL) and daily care.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment.
• Communicate patient observations to the RN promptly and accurately.
• Assist with patient and family education and documentation of care.
