Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current STNA certification, clinical rotation completed, or PCA Novice Program completion required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic direct patient care as delegated by clinical staff; maintain a safe environment.
• Measure vital signs and promptly report changes in patient status.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care.
• Support respiratory care, EKGs, phlebotomy, and blood glucose as needed.
• Communicate observations to the RN and document treatments accurately.
• Maintain call systems, reception duties, and access information from the computer.
• Maintain clean, safe environment and proper patient identification bands.
• Apply patient safety measures including side rails and universal precautions.
