Job summary

Penn Medicine Lancaster is seeking a Part Time .6FTE 24hrs/week non-licensed patient care assistant to support delivery of direct care under supervision. The role emphasizes collaboration with nurses and other clinical and support staff to maintain safety and comfort for patients.

You will perform tasks such as environmental management, supply handling, patient safety, and basic daily living activities, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and compassionate service in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• AHA CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Demonstrates ability to perform duties with guidance and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assists with delivery of direct, non-licensed patient care under supervision.
• Maintains environment and safety for patients and staff.
• Orders and stocks supplies; handles unit/department responsibilities as needed.
• Documents accurately and timely according to unit standards.
• Provides assistance with admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
• Answers patient call lights promptly and professionally.
