Job summary

Penn Medicine Lancaster is seeking a Full Time .9FTE (36 hours per week) Patient Care Assistant to assist with direct, non-licensed patient care under supervision, and to help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful patient environment.

You will perform environment management, supply handling, documentation, and patient safety tasks while supporting the care team at Lancaster, PA–Main Hospital, contributing to Penn Medicine's tripartite mission of care, research, and education.

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of educational requirements with supervised competency and yearly training as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the delivery of direct, non-licensed patient care under supervision.
• Orders and stocks supplies to meet unit/department needs and demonstrates cost containment practices.
• Documents accurately and timely according to unit/department standards.
• Assists with admission, transfer, and discharge procedures and responds to patient needs and calls.
