North Alabama Shoals Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for our Medical-Surgical Unit on a full-time days schedule. You will assist with basic patient care, monitor vitals, and support daily activities for patients in a high-acuity environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, with BLS certification preferred or obtainable after hire. You will join a collaborative team dedicated to compassionate, high-quality patient care and throughput support across the unit.

Formación

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification preferred or can be obtained after hire.

Responsabilidades

• Performs basic patient care as delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs and intake/output.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, ambulation).
• Observes and reports abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Maintains clean, safe patient rooms and common areas.
• Supports nursing/physician staff and department throughput.
• Documents care per unit standards and participates in education.
