Job summary

LeConte Medical Center, part of Covenant Health, seeks a Patient Care Assistant for the Medical Unit. This full-time role covers day shift and 72 hours per pay period, providing direct patient care under RN supervision.

You will assist with ADLs, monitor vitals, help with mobility, and support safety and infection control. CPR certification is required, and completion of Covenant orientation and Nursing Assistant training is expected.

Qualifications

• Must complete Covenant orientation and Nursing Assistant in-house training.
• CPR certification required.
• HS diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist registered nurses with direct patient care and ADLs.
• Record temperature, pulse, respiration, BP, weight and intake-output.
• Encourage patients to turn, cough and perform breathing exercises as ordered.
• Maintain infection control, safety standards and a clean patient area.
