LeConte Medical Center, part of Covenant Health, Sevierville, is hiring a Health Unit Coordinator for the Medical Unit. This part-time, 48 hours per pay period, day-shift role provides clerical and secretarial support to the nursing unit, including admissions, discharges, transfers, and processing physician orders.

You will schedule tests and appointments, maintain patient charts, relay messages, and assist with patient flow and communication.

Competenze

• Minimum Education: HS diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience/Certification: CNA, MA, or EMT certification or Covenant Health training as Patient Care Assistant may be required.

Mansioni

• Performs clerical duties related to admissions, discharges, transfers, and death.
• Transcribes physician orders accurately and notifies consults as ordered.
• Maintains unit stock and inventories; handles messages and communications.
• Schedules tests, procedures, and appointments; organizes patient charts.
• Implements infection control policies and safety standards.
