Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support patients with activities of daily living and basic nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.

The role requires CNA certification (State approved) and preferred Phlebotomy, EKG, and BLS certifications, plus knowledge of medical terminology and prior acute care experience. Full-time, day shift with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification upon hire (preferred).
• EKG certification upon hire (preferred).
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• CNA certification (State approved) required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Provides basic nursing care under RN supervision.
• Maintains a safe environment on the unit.
