Job summary

Roxborough Memorial Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support patients with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role requires CNA certification, preferred phlebotomy and EKG credentials, and BLS within 30 days of hire, with prior acute care experience advantageous.

The position is full-time, daytime shifts in a hospital setting, with emphasis on safety and compassionate patient care while adhering to hospital

Qualifications

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living and basic nursing care under RN supervision.
• Maintains a safe environment under the direction of the unit charge RN.
