Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–6 months of experience required; 1–2 years preferred.
• AHA CPR certification and patient care skills are required.
• State Tested Nursing Aide Training, Acute Medical Surgical Training or Hospital Specific Training are acceptable.
• UC Health competency training for PCA is required if other criteria are not met.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic direct patient care as delegated by clinical professionals.
• Measure vital signs and monitor patient status.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Assist with meals, nutrition, and hydration.
• Communicate patient observations to the RN in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and team.
