Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Nursing Assistant to assist Registered Nurses in providing direct patient care on a designated nursing unit. The role focuses on supporting daily living activities, monitoring patients, and maintaining a safe, clean care environment.

As part of the Med Surg Unit 1 team, you will use handheld devices for data collection and collaborate with care teams to deliver compassionate, high-quality patient experiences.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required or equivalent.
• Ability to assist patients with daily living activities.
• Comfort with using portable devices for vital signs and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and routines.
• Support RN and other staff; transport or move patients as needed.
• Record vital signs and observations on documentation forms.
• Maintain clean, safe patient rooms and equipment; follow safety guidelines.
