Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Clinical Assistant/Medical Assistant/EMT training is preferred.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
• State licensing in good standing or enrollment in an accredited nursing program is preferred.
• LPNs may apply per stated guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Transcribes and computes physician orders and messages accurately.
• Assembles patient medical records and maintains order within charts.
• Sets up admission charts and processes discharge and transfer charts.
• Communicates physician orders to the responsible nurse and staff.
• Performs phlebotomy, EKG lead placement, and basic respiratory tasks.
• Maintains patient data accuracy and safety standards at all times.
