Job summary

UF Health is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to provide direct patient care and supportive services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The PCA will assist in delivering safe, effective, patient-centered care while maintaining a clean and orderly environment and promoting patient and family satisfaction.

Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, BLS certification, and CPI training within 90 days of hire for the Psychiatric unit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training within 90 days of hire or transfer and then annually for Psychiatric unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment and demonstrate service excellence behaviors to promote patient and family satisfaction.
