Job summary

Beacon Health System is seeking a patient care assistant to support daily living activities and clinical documentation under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will help with mobility, hygiene, and basic care while maintaining a safe, respectful environment for patients.

The role emphasizes teamwork, effective communication, and timely reporting of changes to the care team, along with adherence to HIPAA and privacy standards in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA certification preferred.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Must obtain BCLS/ CPR within 3 months of hire and maintain certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living as delegated by RN.
• Document vital signs, intake/output, and other patient information in a timely manner.
• Provide 1:1 staffing care when required and respond to call lights.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information.
• Communicate with nurse, physicians, and team to ensure timely care.
