Job summary

Beacon Health System in Indiana seeks a Nurse Assistant to perform patient care services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include assisting with admission/discharge, bathing, vital signs, and daily patient care tasks in alignment with unit assignments.

Must be 17+, have a high school diploma or equivalent; CNA preferred. Be prepared to obtain Basic Life Support (BCLS/CPR) within 3 months of hire and to work in a demanding patient care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CNA preferred.
• Must obtain BCLS/CPR within 3 months of hire.
• Minimum age 17 years old.
• Prior patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient admission and discharge tasks, set up patient room, and record basic information.
• Bathe patients, assist with oral care, make beds, and maintain a clean patient area.
• Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respirations) and weights.
• Assist with meals, feed patients as needed, and distribute/collect meal trays.
• Turn, reposition, move, transfer, and ambulate patients; assist with ROM as directed.
• Perform basic care tasks such as skin care, wound care, and specimen collection as directed.
