Job summary

Baptist Health System is seeking a compassionate nursing support professional to provide basic nursing care under the supervision of an RN. The role covers diverse units, including General Nursing, Maternal Child, Nursery, Pediatric, GI Lab, Emergency, and Surgical Services, ensuring holistic patient care across age groups.

The position emphasizes patient comfort, clinical competence, and adherence to care protocols, with opportunities for professional development within our care-focused system.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Preferred Education: Satisfactorily completed a Nurse Assistant, EMT, Paramedic or Medical Assisting course.
• Preferred Experience: 6 months in healthcare industry and/or knowledge of basic medical terms and procedures.
• Required Courses/ Completions (e.g., CPR): BLS-Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network Non-Violent Crisis Intervention obtained with 60 days of hire or transfer to position

Responsibilities

• Under the direction/supervision of an RN, provides basic nursing care for assigned group of patients.
• Cares for patients across General Nursing Units, Special Care Areas, Maternal Child Units, Nursery, Pediatric, GI Lab, Chemical Dependent and Psychiatric, Emergency, Surgical Services.
• Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
