Job summary

Corewell Health's Royal Oak Hospital is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to join the Progressive Care Unit 6NE. Under RN supervision, you will deliver direct patient care per individual care plans and hospital policies, document care in the EMR, and assist with unit operations.

You'll gain hands-on experience in observation duties, patient transport, safety protocols, and teamwork within a supportive hospital environment that values dignity, compassion, and professional standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CRT-BLS certification per AHA guidelines is required.
• CRT-BLS certification per ARC guidelines is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care according to the plan of care and hospital policy under RN direction.
• Document care provided in the electronic medical record.
• Safely transport patients and document services.
• Act as Observer for patients needing constant observation.
• Perform receptionist and clerical duties to support unit operations.
• Maintain current knowledge/certifications and participate in required safety trainings.
