Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System seeks a Patient Care Associate to support registered nurses in patient care activities, including assisting with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and procedures. You will help maintain a safe, clean environment and participate in ambulation and hygiene support as directed.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, new staff may have 1–2 years PCA/CNA experience or related medical assisting skills, and BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years experience as a PCA/CNA preferred or Medical Assistant background.
• BLS certification required by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in patient care activities and daily living tasks.
• Support patient admission, orientation, and data collection.
• Contribute to care plan updates and therapeutic interventions.
• Perform direct care duties: vital signs, specimens, hygiene, EKGs, finger sticks, ambulation.
