Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Nursing Assistant to assist Registered Nurses in providing direct patient care on a designated unit. You will support activities of daily living, monitor patient comfort, and help maintain a safe, clean, and respectful patient environment.

You will collect basic data, support with vitals, waive tests as directed, and use portable devices for documentation. Flexibility to assist in other departments and to act as a patient safety champion is valued.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 16- and 17-year-old individuals may be considered only with a valid work permit.
• 18-year-old individuals enrolled in high school do not need a high school diploma/GED/work permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, walking) and support environmental cleanliness and safety.
• Perform delegable nursing tasks under RN supervision and collect data (height, weight, vital signs, intake/output).
• Utilize portable devices for documentation and communicate observations to the RN; assist in safety and patient transport as needed.
