Job summary

Strong communication with the RN and other staff is essential to ensure safe, high-quality care. Required credentials include a CNA, BLS certification, and Fire Life Safety Training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited CNA program required.
• CNA DPH certification required (grandfathered if applicable).
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Fire Life Safety Training required (LA City) or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient calls within 10 minutes.
• Assist with daily living activities and provide peri-care, meals, and mobility support.
• Maintain clean, organized patient rooms and safe environment.
• Document all care and vital signs in patient records.
• Communicate care plans clearly to patients, families, and nursing staff.
• Collaborate with RN to implement and adjust the plan of care.
