Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System in Pembroke Pines, FL, is seeking a patient care associate to support basic patient care under an RN. Responsibilities include stocking rooms, assisting with activities of daily living, and transporting patients as needed.

Candidate must have 3 months of patient care experience or completion of a formal training program, and obtain EKG and phlebotomy competencies within six months of hire. BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• No Degree or any other education earned (Required).
• BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association.
• BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association.
• BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Grace period for credential.
• BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Assist with keeping patient rooms/areas stocked, clean and orderly.
• Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Assist with transporting patients as needed.
• Monitor patient status and report abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Perform basic patient care activities delegated by an RN (e.g., monitor vital signs, EKG, phlebotomy, blood glucose, intake/output).
• Other duties as assigned.
