Job summary

Memorial Healthcare in Pembroke Pines, FL is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to work under the supervision of an RN. You will perform basic patient care tasks, monitor vital signs, conduct EKG testing, and assist with phlebotomy and glucose measurements.

You will help patients with daily living activities, keep rooms clean and stocked, and assist with moving and transporting patients as needed. You will report any changes to nursing staff and support a safe, compassionate care environment.

Qualifications

• No degree or other education earned is required.
• BLS certifications are required or in progress.
• EKG and phlebotomy competencies must be obtained within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care under RN supervision, including vital signs, EKG, phlebotomy, and glucose testing.
• Keep patient rooms stocked and clean; assist with daily living activities and mobility.
• Transport patients as needed and report changes to nursing staff.
