Job summary

ProHealth Care is seeking a Patient Services Assistant to support the nursing team with patient care, comfort, and safety. Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene, dressing, mobility, and transportation to tests, as well as light clerical tasks related to regulatory processes.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, strong customer service, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. CPR/BLS certification at hire or during orientation is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent for those with less than 5 years caregiver experience.
• No Degree is required for those with a minimum of 5 years experience as a caregiver.
• Must have a strong interest in customer service, able to multi task, work independently with little supervision.
• Passionate about providing excellent patient care and able to demonstrate compassion at the end of life.
• BLS CPR certification at time of hire, or ability to obtain during orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing team with patient care activities and personal needs.
• Change bed linens and assist with patient transportation to tests and procedures.
• Record temperature or vital signs under direction of a nurse.
• Complete clerical tasks related to regulatory annual requirements, audits and patient processes.
