R1 RCM Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Representative – Patient Registration for the Intermountain Bear River Hospital.

This part-time PRN role focuses on delivering fast, compassionate access to care and accurate patient registration, impacting patient experience and revenue cycle outcomes. You will register patients, collect demographics, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and provide cost estimates while coordinating with clinical teams for smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering exceptional customer service.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize with high attention to detail.
• Comfortable with shifting priorities based on patient needs.
• Experience with patient access, medical registration, insurance verification, or front desk is a plus (but not required).
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and assist patients and families with the check-in process across multiple computer systems.
• Answer phones and gather accurate patient information quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Support timely access to care by minimizing delays in registration and answering questions clearly and compassionately.
• Build trust with patients during moments of illness, anxiety, or uncertainty.
• Navigate insurance plans, enter demographics and medical data, collect co-pays and provide cost estimates when applicable.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and care teams to ensure smooth patient flow.
