Job summary

St. John of God Community Services is seeking a Driver to operate Agency vehicles for scheduled passenger pickups, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and proper paperwork. The role emphasizes hospitality, respect, and confidentiality while serving children and clients.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a NJ CDL with endorsements preferred, and a clean driving record. Hours are 35 per week, Mon-Fri, with benefits including health, dental, vision, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• State of NJ CDL with endorsements preferred.
• Clean driving record required.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drives Agency vehicles and makes scheduled passenger pickups based on the route.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of vehicles.
• Assists with loading, unloading and securing passengers with wheelchairs.
• Ensures seatbelt safety for all passengers.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and keeps records.
• Participates in cross-training and safety procedures.
