Job summary

Northeast Arc, a non‑profit serving people with disabilities in the Stoneham area, seeks a part-time Driver to provide safe transport to day programs and other locations. You will also help with required documentation in line with DDS regulations and department policies, reporting to the Director of Transportation.

Responsibilities include assisting with entry/exit, operating wheelchair lifts, performing basic vehicle maintenance, and handling snow/ice removal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience with a clean driving record.
• Desire and ability to work with individuals with disabilities.
• Knowledge of MA/ Federal driving laws; MART regulations preferred.
• Ability to use smartphones, GPS/maps, PCs, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and timely transportation for individuals from homes to programs.
• Assist with compiling documents per policies and DDS regulations.
• Safely assist individuals entering/exiting vehicles and using wheelchairs.
• Operate wheelchair lifts and perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Clear snow/ice and drive various vehicle types (minivans, SUVs, vans).
