Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and ISBE paraprofessional licensure.
• Experience with children with disabilities in educational settings.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
• Ability to follow teacher directions and support IEP implementations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing IEPs for students with multi-needs.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students.
• Help students with daily living skills and personal care.
• Monitor and document student progress and behavior.
• Collaborate with therapists and staff to support students.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
• Participate in training and professional development.
• Prepare classroom materials and resources.
• Support behavioral interventions outlined in IEPs.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
