Job summary

Baltimore City Public Schools in Baltimore seeks a paraprofessional to assist teachers in delivering classroom instruction and supporting students individually and in small groups. You will help with lesson planning, materials, and behavior management while coordinating with staff and families.

Responsibilities include administering assessments, preparing instructional resources, and maintaining accurate student records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 48 college credits or MSDE ParaPro assessment completion.
• Experience working with children is preferred.
• Ability to operate basic office and AV equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional assistance to support classroom activities.
• Assist in planning and evaluating lessons and materials.
• Support students individually and in small groups.
• Monitor behavior and assist with classroom management.
• Assist in administering tests and reviewing progress reports.
• Prepare instructional materials and reports as requested.
• Maintain neat, safe, and compliant classroom environments.
• Record attendance, student folders, and related files.
• Support in writing, science, computer, or other areas as needed.
• Supervise students during field trips and activities.
