Job summary

Rural Staffing Services in Goldendale, WA, is seeking a Registered Nurse for Palliative Care / Hospice to provide compassionate care across home, clinic, hospital, and community settings.

You will perform assessments, develop care plans, coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, support symptom management, educate families, and participate in on-call responsibilities. WA RN license and BLS required; casual position with differential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active Washington State RN license; BSN preferred but not required.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for hospice and palliative patients across home, clinic, hospital, and community settings.
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Support symptom management and comfort-focused treatment.
• Educate patients and families about care options and plans.
• Provide emotional support to patients and caregivers.
• Collaborate with social workers and chaplains to ensure coordinated care.
• Assist with discharge planning and community resource coordination.
• Participate in shared on-call responsibilities with other hospice RNs.
