Jupiter Medical Center in Florida is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support Physicians in the practice. The role involves clinical and administrative duties, staff training, and patient care coordination under the physician’s supervision.

The ideal candidate has BLS certification, 1+ year of MA experience, and familiarity with outpatient settings. Certification in Medical Assistance is preferred, with strong computer and customer service skills, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Formación

• Graduate from an accredited program for medical assistants with one year in a medical office setting preferred.
• If not a graduate from a medical assisting program then three years experience in a medical office setting is required.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• One or more years’ experience as a medical assistant.
• Medical Assistance Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of the outpatient practice of medicine.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure a chaperone is present at exam.
• Assists clinical personnel during visit.
• Remain with patient during exam.
• Ensures clinical staffing and scheduling.
• Reviews clinical reports.
• Maintains controlled substance inventory.
• Conducts “code” and other emergency office drills.
• Maintains inventory for crash cart.
• Reviews and disposes of any services (e.g., post-op, OB, Follow-up on consults) triages in-office emergencies.
• Educates patients in diet, preparation for procedures, administration of medicine, risks, and precautions.
