The role requires training MAs, overseeing patient care management, and performing both clinical and supervisory functions in a fast-paced office setting. The ideal candidate will have 1+ year MA experience, BLS certification, and knowledge of outpatient medicine.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited medical assisting program.
• If not graduate, three years experience in a medical office setting is required.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• One or more years’ experience as a medical assistant.
• Knowledge of the outpatient practice of medicine.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a chaperone is present at exam.
• Assists clinical personnel during visit.
• Remain with patient during exam.
• Ensures clinical staffing and scheduling.
• Reviews clinical reports.
• Maintains controlled substance inventory.
• Conducts drills and emergency readiness.
• Maintains crash cart inventory.
• Educates patients on procedures, risks, and medications.
• Scheduling: schedule related surgical procedures and pre-admission testing with providers and OR team.
• Oversees patient care management and supervises Medical Assistants.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
