The role requires a high school diploma or MA program completion (or equivalent experience), BLS certification within 30 days, and a year of clinical experience preferred; duties include assisting providers, handling specimens, and documenting test results.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program OR graduate of the Med Ed Program OR 1 year of clinical experience.
• Obtain BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• State and Federal background checks as required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide support to medical staff to assure patients’ needs are met and efficient outpatient operations.
• Assist providers with requisitions/forms for examinations or testing and ensure test results are available for visits.
• Administer prescribed medication under supervision of attending provider.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative tests and examinations of specimens.
• Obtain and document patients’ specimens as ordered.
• Document and report test results to the medical provider.
• May perform POCT tests and maintain quality-control logs after training.
