Job summary

Margate Health and Rehabilitation in Jefferson, NC is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join a dedicated care team. You will work under the supervision of a licensed OT to deliver therapeutic services in a skilled nursing setting, focusing on ADLs and independence.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate’s degree, NC COTA certification, and active licensure. SNF rehab experience is preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply and grow with us.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited OTA program.
• Current NC OTA certification.
• Active NC OTA licensure.
• 1–2 years of SNF/rehab preferred; new grads considered.

Responsibilities

• Carry out therapy interventions under the supervision of the OT.
• Provide hands-on assistance during sessions with exercises and assistive devices.
• Monitor and document residents' progress; communicate changes to the OT.
• Maintain accurate and timely treatment records and documentation.
• Educate residents and families on home routines and adaptive equipment.
• Collaborate with nursing and rehab staff to achieve treatment goals.
• Adhere to facility policies and state/federal regulations.
