Qualifications

• English language skills and basic mathematics are required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to read and follow directions are essential.
• Ability to maintain patient privacy and demonstrate compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the nurse in providing direct patient care according to approved procedures.
• Perform vital signs, phlebotomy support, and assist patients in mobility as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and respond promptly to patient needs.
• Demonstrate professional conduct, active listening, and effective communication.
• Protect patient privacy and confidentiality in all discussions and interactions.
• Support teamwork and adapt to unit needs and staffing.
• Greet patients and visitors warmly, identify self, and provide information or directions.
• Document observations and communicate changes to the nursing team.
• Follow department policies and participate in competency training.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate care and sensitivity to patient development.
