Job summary

You will contribute to a patient-centered environment, work under a registered nurse’s direction, and complete the Greenwich Hospital Competency Program before independently providing patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CNA, PCT or equivalent (e.g., Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy Technician, student nurse with clinical experience).
• Experience with English-speaking environment; basic math and computer skills; familiarity with patient care.
• Able to read and write, understand English, and follow directions; capable of compassionate patient interaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist the nurse in providing direct patient care.
• Perform direct patient care tasks including vital signs, phlebotomy, and assisting patients on/off stretchers and beds.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct; ensure patient privacy and safety; respond to inquiries and provide information as needed.
