Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to evaluate patients, develop personalized care plans, and deliver hands-on, evidence-based therapy. You will work closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to enhance recovery and independence.

You will monitor progress, adjust plans, educate patients and families, and mentor therapy staff while upholding HCA Healthcare’s standards of excellence. This is a fulltime, on-site role at our Clear Lake facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• OTR (Occupational Therapist Registered) or OT licensure required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and develop individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team.
• Deliver skilled, evidence-based interventions that promote healing and independence.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust plans as needed, and document outcomes.
• Educate patients and families to build understanding and engagement in recovery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to ensure safe transitions of care and quality experiences.
• Lead and mentor therapy assistants or students while upholding HCA Healthcare’s mission and standards.
