Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to create and adjust patient-centered treatment plans, document progress, and educate patients and families. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care and discharge planning, while maintaining safety and productivity standards.

The role requires a Master's in Occupational Therapy (preferred) and active BLS/OT licensure.

Qualifications

• Master's in Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak conversational English effectively.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, physicians, nurses, and administrators.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and re-evaluations using recommended techniques and standards.
• Establish and adapt individualized treatment plans with goals and frequency.
• Document accurately and timely using measurable terminology.
• Educate patients and caregivers and provide discharge recommendations as needed.
• Oversee therapy assistants and aides according to regulations and standards.
• Ensure patient safety and maintain productivity standards.
• Engage in community education and outreach to support public awareness.
